The Dolphin Fund is our means of raising funds that requires no selling.  It is strictly a contribution based program in which all of the donations remain with the school.  We will have a fun and exciting ‘Dolphin Fund-Raiser’ in October in which students can win prizes based on the donations they are able to solicit, and there will be school-wide incentives if we reach our school goal.  While we will be really talking the Dolphin Fund up to students during this 2 week period in October, you can contribute to the Dolphin Fund anytime throughout the year.  Make checks payable to “JDES PTA” and notate “Dolphin Fund”.

The PTA will be hosting a new event this year, a JDES Fall Family Night.  This is a laid back outdoor event which essentially offers a chance to EAT and SOCIALIZE.  Two of the best things you could ask for!  The event will be October 6 from 6-7:30.  We will have a Food Truck from Grapevine with all sorts of offerings and Deluca Gelato for dessert.  If that doesn’t sound appealing, then feel free to bring your own dinner, as we eat on the lawn, hang out with friends, and listen to tunes spun by our own Mr. Cangelosi.  Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information!

Did you know that you can support Jackson Davis by cleaning out old clothing, shoes, towels, sheets, blankets, handbags, backpacks, lunchboxes, wallets, comforters, and stuffed animals??  That’s right!  Bring your old items to the Clothing to Cash box, located in the school bus loop. The more we donate, the more money the school makes.  Items can be in ANY condition, as they are recycled and repurposed through this program.  And Jackson Davis gets a check for each pound of donations on a monthly basis!  Win Win situation!!!  Drop your items off anytime, year round!  Just place them in a plastic bag before adding to the donation box.
